Hotel description and useful information for travellers

Cleanliness

Mostly described as clean and neat in multiple reviews, with one mention of poor neatness; overall above average cleanliness.

Service

Staff repeatedly praised as friendly, helpful and responsive (e. g. , moved guest after maintenance issue), though restaurant service was noted as slow in a review.

Location

Consistently highlighted as a key strength — close to the airport, next to the casino and convenient to restaurants/attractions.

Room Quality

Mixed to negative comments: several reports of outdated rooms, small rooms, bathroom faults (toilet not flushing, shower no hot water, puddles), and broken doors.

Amenities

Some positives (pool, casino access), but repeated negatives such as no bottled water in rooms, limited parking, lack of lift access for some rooms, and breakfast sometimes not included.

Value for Money

Seen as good value by several guests (especially as a stopover), though room issues temper perceptions of value for some visitors.

Discover the perfect blend of comfort and convenience at City Lodge Hotel Grand West, your ultimate retreat in Cape Town.

Recreational Opportunities

Dive into relaxation with our outdoor pool or maintain your fitness routine at our fully-equipped fitness center. Enjoy your leisure time and unwind in the inviting atmosphere.
