Hotel description and useful information for travellers

Cleanliness

Generally reported as clean — guests repeatedly note 'sauber' and roomy, tidy rooms and bathrooms. No major cleanliness complaints, though some references to mattress condition (worn/through) affect perceived room upkeep.

Service

Staff is frequently described as attentive, helpful and friendly (Aufmerksames, hilfsbereites Personal; Super Mitarbeiter! ). A small number of comments mention reception/service issues at check-in, but overall service sentiment is strongly positive.

Location

Consistently praised as central and ideal (next to the train station, close to city centre). Many note excellent access to public transport and short walks to the inner city; a few reviewers mention the area around the station can feel rough at night.

Room Quality

Rooms described as spacious with large bathrooms and good showers; outlets and generally comfortable beds were noted. Some guests reported mattresses that were too soft or worn, which reduces the score slightly.

Amenities

Mixed: breakfast offering is available and varied for many guests, there is parking (paid) and outlets in rooms, and bar selection was appreciated. Negatives include parking being full on busy weekends, noisy AC in some rooms, and occasional lack of small extras (e. g. , bottled water at breakfast).

Value for Money

Multiple guests explicitly mention a good price/quality ratio (Valeu o custo benefício; 'very good price / quality ratio'). Given location and condition, value is seen as a strong point.

Experience the perfect blend of comfort and convenience at our Premier Inn Essen City Hauptbahnhof hotel, your ideal base for exploring the vibrant city of Essen.

Prime Location

Nestled in the heart of Essen, our hotel offers easy access to renowned attractions like the magnificent Essen Cathedral and the fascinating Zollverein colliery, making it perfect for both business travelers and tourists.
