Hotel description and useful information for travellers

Cleanliness

Generally praised as very clean and spotlessly maintained in multiple reviews (e. g. , 'Very clean property', 'spotlessly clean'), with one comment noting the buffet line 'wasn’t exactly fresh'.

Service

Staff repeatedly praised as friendly, warm and helpful (receptionists, cleaners, managers moved guests/issued refunds). Some service issues noted around breakfast removal and a problematic pre-arrival charge/link.

Location

Excellent beachfront location and proximity to the beach frequently highlighted ('perfect location', 'beachfront'), though a few guests noted limited nearby restaurant options.

Room Quality

Mixed feedback: rooms described as spacious and comfortable when good, but several reports of noisy rooms, old facility/bathroom needing renovation, heater/aircon failures and elevator delays.

Amenities

Amenities like pools (two pools), lounge treats and complimentary slushies/tea/ice-cream are appreciated; some amenities issues reported (pool occasionally out of order, congested lifts).

Value for Money

Generally seen as good value given cleanliness, location and breakfast; however, complaints about missed paid breakfast service and an unexplained pre-arrival charge (later refunded) slightly lower perception.

Welcome to The Blue Waters Hotel, where luxury meets the stunning beauty of Durban's beachfront!

Recreational Delights: Dive into our outdoor and indoor pools or unwind in the sauna, offering endless relaxation options for all our guests.
